DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- Support Online Retail Brokerage in the areas of Cost of Service, Selling and Marketing, G&A and Technology. - Prepare and maintain all financial models relating to Costs including new program/project evaluations. - Report monthly and quarterly metrics, provide forecasts, budgets and spending analysis. - Responsible for month-end close activities and reporting actual revenues and related planning/forecasting to Senior Management including all variance analysis. - Critically review results seeking opportunities to optimize the Business Unit's profit objectives. - Participate with various groups in the Company to actively work on improving the effective use of business and financial data and information and to identify operating efficiencies. - Often, you will be called upon to support special assignments, analyze business opportunities, validate long-term strategic plans and initiate financial process improvement programs. - Ad hoc reports as required.
MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred. - 5-7 years of increasingly more responsible experience in financial and business analysis, with an emphasis on cost analysis and business plan development. - Must have excellent accounting, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. - Must be able to work independently and operate in a cross-functional matrix environment. - Must have attention to detail and manage multiple projects in a timely manner. - Must have the ability to interact with, and influence all levels of management - Must have strong Excel skills and experience with enterprise-wide accounting packages (Oracle financials a plus) and database queries.
