A leading Global Internet Company is looking for yet another Sr Oracle
Database Developer to join a growing team of Oracle Database Developers.
Company has been public for over 3 years, has been profitable for the past 4
Quarters, has YTD Net Income of $63 million and has $245+ million in cash.
Company has over 500 employees.
Job Description: We desire a highly self-motivated individual with the
ability to code and drive development projects. The successful candidate
will be expected to identify potential problems and provide solutions within
a highly analytical environment. Develop core Loss Prevention and Reporting
systems using Perl and Shell scripting languages.
Responsibilities: Work closely with internal data processing, reporting, and
loss prevention teams to create new systems, improve existing architectures
and utilities while increasing group efficiencies
Skills/Qualifications: * 5+ years of Perl and Shell Scripting experience
required [PARA]* 5+ years of Unix based development experience required
[PARA]* 3-5 years experience developing large scale data processing/web
systems required [PARA]* 2+ years of SQL experience required (experience
working with extremely large data files and databases processing data files
of 2Gb and multi-terabyte databases required) [PARA]* Experience processing
date/time data required [PARA]* mod_perl web development experience highly
desired [PARA]* Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
[PARA]* Strong problem analysis skills also required [PARA]* BS in Computer
Sciences or a related engineering degree required
