About the Web Analytics Director
Essential Functions:

• Conduct world-class analyses to aid business decision making.
• Educate the company as a whole regarding Web metrics - ranging from terminology standardization to the impact of user behavior on key conversion and revenue factors.
• Assisting the Product team with defining key metrics for product success and developing business cases (including ROI); financial justification for new service offerings and enhancements; identify new product opportunities through data interpretation.
• Working with Product Managers to optimize features and functionality around usage, page yield and relevance and to set benchmarks and establish analytics for key performance criteria.
• Work with Marketing to perform analysis ranging from clickstreams to deep data dives driven by demographic and psychographics data.
• Determining the requirements for, managing the implementation of and training the end-users of a distributed reporting tool.
• Develop best practice approaches for analyzing user behavior on the web site(s); as well as general tracking set-up, and data interpretation.
• Work with management within the Web team to focus on the customer and produce a world-class web site experience; leveraging data as available to provide un-biased input to decisions made regarding the site.
• Build and manage a team and develop internal talent for web analytics.
• Analyze web site performance and trends, and click stream path analysis activity
• Conduct Ad-Hoc Traffic Analysis of key areas of the site
• Develop and evolve monthly Web Traffic Reports
• Collaborate with Marketing to better understand our external site performance
• Participate in the design and site flow to make sure that all metrics are built into the system.

Key Competencies:

• Experience with Data Warehousing highly desirable.
• Highly proficient at analyzing and interpreting data; able to synthesize information from a variety of sources and translate into effective and actionable plans.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to directly communicate and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Should have knowledge regarding website design and its impact on the customer experience (e.g. navigation).

General Knowledge and Technical Skills:

• Solid knowledge of SQL databases, SAS web analytics tools and Excel.
• Must be able to think strategically about customer needs, product designs, and data analysis.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Required Education and Experience:

• MBA / PhD. market research, math, statistics, marketing, psychology, statistics or other related field; plus 7 years or more experience in online data analysis or online information products preferably in search engine analysis.

Must be currently authorized to work in US or have existing US Visa’s which can be transferred.
