Chargeback Manager - Google

We're looking for dynamic, high energy individuals to join our Finance group based in Mountain View. The ideal candidate will play a central role in keeping the business operations & activities organized, on track and moving forward.

Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and excellent judgment. They should be comfortable juggling tasks from the mundane to the more strategic and can work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a smile. They must be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information in a rapidly growing organization as well as be flexible with changing job requirements as the team grows.

Responsibilities:

• Minimize chargeback losses by receiving chargebacks from all sources.
• Analyzing chargebacks to identify those that can be contested versus those that must be accepted.
• Responding to those that may be contested according to the timetable of the card associations.
• Analyzing all chargebacks and providing reporting.
• Providing input to identify those chargeback’s that should be passed through to the seller.
• Analyzing all chargebacks and providing input/recommendations to Credit and Fraud operations groups to refine their practices.

• Detailed understanding of card association chargeback regulations.
• Familiarity with the tools and procedures used by card associations for chargeback management.
• 2-3 years experience in merchant chargeback operations.
• Strong analytical and communications skills.
• Bachelors degree required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with tolerance for ambiguity.
