Senior Software Engineer - Search Analytics (palo alto)

A9.com is looking for experienced developers to join our team in improving the quality and relevance of search. You will work on technology that powers search on Amazon.com and other sites for millions of customers every day. You will design and implement innovative systems that use machine learning and data mining techniques for discovering knowledge in large volumes of user behavior data, and use such insights for improving search results.
Besides possessing rock-solid software engineering skills and a passion for excellence, you will need to be a strong communicator and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality products. You will need expertise in the following areas:

* data mining and knowledge discovery in databases
* machine learning
* algorithm design and analysis
* high-performance distributed systems
* engineering process, design and testing methodologies

You must have an advanced degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience. Domain expertise in the following areas are pluses:

* information retrieval
* OLAP and business intelligence
* large-scale customer behavior analysis
* customer-focused product design
