Statistical Analysts and Business Consultants – Columbia, MD
International business and technology consulting firm specializing in Information Intelligence seeks Statisticians to help companies transform complex data into valuable intelligence, enabling better decision making and sustained performance improvement.
Company data analytics include techniques such as data mining, network analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling and is used in areas which include:
- Analytical CRM - the analysis and prediction of customer behavior to improve marketing sales and service processes.
- Detection and prevention of third-party transaction fraud
- Detection and prevention of insider fraud
- Business and Government Intelligence analysis
- Business process optimization
Requirements:
- US Citizenship (active U.S. Government security clearance preferred)
- 2-7 years successful experience in data analytics, operational research or data manipulation with exposure to the full end-to-end data processes
- Strong statistical capabilities and an excellent academic background, including a BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Excellent track record of design and modeling approaches and interpretation of results.
- Statistical analysis and modeling techniques using standard statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS or KXEN
- Experience in working with very large datasets using Oracle, SQL Server, SAND, SAS or similar tools with some knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling and design
- Exposure to integration of third party data and query, reporting and OLAP tools, (Business Objects / Crystal Reports, Alterian) and data warehousing techniques will also be an advantage
Salary $75,000 – 150,000 depending on experience and role
