Description
As a Risk Analyst II, you will use a risk/reward methodology to analyze Target Financial Services’ (TFS) credit policies and strategy decisions. You will also gather relevant internal and external data, use a variety of tools and techniques to perform statistical and financial analysis that create actionable decisions, implement strategic initiatives through an adaptive control methodology that lead to optimal performance and continual learning and disseminate results through reporting and presentations to both senior management and impacted business lines. See Yourself: •Performing complex qualitative and quantitative research on credit portfolios and developing strategic programs to optimize benefits to the company •Having an in-depth understanding of internal product functionality and processes •Leading initiatives to understand risk management software and data offered by vendors that can be integrated into the TFS business •Conducting performance analysis of strategy proposals to determine the full financial impact on the credit portfolios •Leading forecasting efforts to determine portfolio performance against baseline objectives and recommending policy changes that ensure financial goals are attained •Developing and monitoring risk baseline assignments, pricing and authorizations strategies •Providing requirements for software and process enhancements needed to integrate credit policy into the business lines •Building and maintaining strong partnerships with Collections, Marketing, Guest Services, Fraud, Legal, Business Systems and Finance to facilitate the implementation of credit policy and strategic solutions •Documenting Risk Management’s policies and procedures in the Risk Management Credit Policy Manual •Communicating credit policy changes to the appropriate business lines and addressing resources and implementation concerns •Providing periodic presentations of analysis projects to peers and senior management Job Requirements Minimum Requirements: •BS or BA degree •3-6 years of risk management or credit analysis experience within the financial services industry •Ability to work and contribute in a team environment •Excellent communication and organization skills •Related experience using SAS, Focus, Easytrieve, and/or SQL •Related experience using Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word •Experience working with large databases in a warehouse environment •Knowledge of adaptive control systems and test/control methodology Desired Requirements: •Graduate degree in math, statistics, economics, MBA or related quantitative discipline •Knowledge and experience using SAS Enterprise Miner, Knowledge Studio, SPSS or other Tree Regression software •Degree or aptitude in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science or Statistics •Knowledge of Financial Accounting.
