Vice President of Credit Risk Management (New York City)
Our client, a Major International Bank with offices in New York City, seeks a Vice President with 10 + years’ experience to evaluate corporate loan applications and make recommendations to senior management. This individual will have experience at a major financial institution evaluating large corporate lending transactions across a variety of industries, with an emphasis on following industry and market risk factors. Major Responsibilities: Evaluate credit applications, monitoring borrower risk and standing within their industry – making recommendations and consulting with departmental and relationship managers Provide supervision to credit staff with regard to making sound credit and credit risk decisions Monitor assigned industries, making recommendations for revisions to industry credit policies Continually update and inform management across all business lines on credit and risk issues – product groups, credit examination, legal, risk management Job Requirements: 10 + years’ experience at a major financial institution evaluating corporate credit and risk issues 5 + years’ experience as a relationship manager preferred Ability to work independently on evaluating complex loan transactions Excellent credit analysis/credit risk evaluation skills – formal bank credit training a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with borrowers on sensitive issues BA/BS, Business, Accounting or related degree – MBA a plus.
