Our success in the marketplace demands the expansion of our operations both globally and domestically to respond to our customers and to continue our strong pattern of growth.  In this rapidly expanding global market we seek an experienced and savvy Director of Business Intelligence for the Consumer Business team, reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, Consumer Sales. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with Web analytics, database technologies, statistical techniques, experience with direct or eMarketing, and an aptitude for understanding sales funnels and consumer behavior in the online and retail markets. You’ll blend these skills with insightful analysis to lead enhanced understanding of business trends across all levels of the organization. You’ll play the lead role in defining a vision for employing leading edge business intelligence tools and establishing a reporting infrastructure that provides Webroot with a competitive market advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·   Drive Webroot’s consumer data strategy for the online and retail markets

·   Proactively model key online and retail metrics to help drive business decisions

·   Utilize analysis to deliver actionable recommendations for business enhancements aimed at increasing profitability of consumer online and retail sales

·   Participate in creation of business plans including development of detailed forecasts that enable enhanced predictability of business results

·   Produce and deliver executive-level presentations outlining findings from key reports and analyses

·   Define business requirements for data integrity, data accessibility and reporting infrastructure and project manage implementation to meet corporate and departmental needs

·   Lead selection, management and implementation of analysis and reporting tools to maximize efficiency of information access and report distribution across diverse set of business users

·   Direct the production of daily dashboard reports and distribute to executive management with analysis of major trends or issues

·   Investigate, document and resolve data problems and verify statistical validity of reports to ensure accuracy

 

 

 

Position is based in Mountain View, CA

Required Experience:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

·   5+ years experience in a data-driven marketing environment (preferably with online/web analytics and retail metrics experience)

·   Bachelors in an analytical or business field, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

·   Experience with Direct Marketing and/or eMarketing required

·   Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques and methods

·   Ability to translate complex analytics concepts into business terms

·   Strong capability to surface hidden trends in business data and deliver actionable recommendations based on insightful interpretation

·   Proven ability to design and lead time-sensitive projects involving analysis, methodology development, analysis execution, strategic recommendations development, and presentation of findings to senior management

·   Deep understanding of SQL and Reporting/Business Intelligence tools (e.g. SAS, SPSS etc.)

·   Advanced MS Excel skills

·   Confident communicator with solid presentation skills and business acumen

·   Excellent organizational skills and disciplined attention to detail


Education Required: Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
Planned Duration of Employment: Full Time
