RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design new features on top of existing platform. • Write code in a heterogeneous environment composed by RoR, .NET, SQL server. • Write multithreaded server side code using design patterns that are typically applied to a scalable enterprise application. • Design and Build features heavily dependent on advanced math: Graph Theory, data mining, neural networks, regression analysis. • Design and implement unit tests. • Diagnose problems and design proper solutions REQUIRMENTS: • Very strong at C++ programming • Able to learn Ruby on Rails quickly and become proficient • BS degree required. Masters or PhD strongly preferred • Strong background in computer science: Algorithms, Architecture, Math, etc. • Comfortable learning and programming: Graph Theory, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, Data Mining, Regression Analysis • At least 3 years programming full time on a high end engineering project. • Extremely passionate and self-motivated • Passion to build a mass market internet site • Relational database development skills (SQL server preferred). • Must be able to adapt in a high paced and fast changing startup environment.
