Job description
Cisco Systems is looking for an expert in Data Mining, Web Services,
Bayesian Logic and/or Inference Engines. The right candidate will be
responsible for providing technical consultation and leadership in the
design and development efforts of complex engineering projects.
Experience in the following is needed:
- Working with key customers in assigned areas to determine or create technical approaches to satisfy market needs.
- Initiates projects that will have a broad applicability in Cisco's product line applying unique approaches.
- Prefers someone who has been involved technically with advertising on the internet or in cable TY System or involvement with "reputation servers
- Must be able to initiate and consult on original and creative technical efforts.
- Responsible for technical content of design reviews and code walkthroughs.
- Responsible for technical decisions that will affect project, functional unit and/or deadlines.
- Is viewed as a technical resource by peers in the same organization.
- Partners with client groups in a team setting, taking ownership of their objectives to achieve business results.
- Evaluates and sells alternative solutions, effectively influencing outcomes.
Education
BSEE/CS or equivalent with 10 plus years relevant experience in internetworking technologies and applications.
