Job Details:

You’d expect a global pharmaceutical company like GlaxoSmithKline to develop products that define the cutting-edge of today’s healthcare practice. So it’s no surprise that for our statisticians, the prospects are equally promising.

Our Statistics Community is one of the largest within the pharmaceutical industry, and includes statistics groups covering non-clinical areas, clinical drug development in a wide range of therapeutic areas and a methodological research team.

Exciting entry level opportunities have now arisen in the UK Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical and Non-Clinical areas for Statisticians. Working closely with clinical or scientific colleagues, you will:

  • Apply your statistical knowledge in the design and analysis of studies to discover and demonstrate the effectiveness, safety and quality of new medicines
  • Prepare and conduct analyses and reports for internal and regulatory purposes, as well as contributing to external presentations and papers for publication
  • Be part of a team of statisticians, with whom you will rapidly develop your statistical knowledge and expertise
  • Have opportunities to work within the broader therapeutic teams, which focus on drug development strategy, alongside data managers, clinical scientists, marketing professionals and epidemiologists, or to work within programme matrix teams in early discovery, alongside biologists and chemists
  • Have opportunities to work in partnership with scientists working at the cutting edge of technology, providing statistical insight which creates greater understanding and improved data-driven decision making.

We offer competitive salaries, benefits, training and development, and are committed to the continuous development of your technical skills and competencies. Opportunities are available at our sites in Stevenage, Ware, West London and Harlow.

For confidential consideration: please apply online at http://www.gsk.com/careers/uk_careers.htm, entering Req ID 39408. If a disability prevents you from getting online, please call the GSK response centre on 02080474777 between 13.00-01.00, who’ll do everything they can to help.
