Sr Systems Reporting Analyst, SAS - Contract (Minneapolis, MN)

Duration: 6+ Months contract

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provide reporting and analytical solutions for Pharmacy; assist in developing, maintaining, and monitoring multidimensional and relational data marts and web based reporting tools to facilitate analysis, reporting and decision making in Pharmacy.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership:

1. Assists in the development and implementation of a data infrastructure for accurately capturing, sharing, distributing, securing, and leveraging company data resources.
2. Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to the team members within the Pharmacy team to develop and expand their technical skills.
3. Provide deep technical leadership on Pharmacy reporting and analytical (OLAP) tools.
4. Ensure that information needs and business rules are in compliance with enterprise policies and standards.
5. Assist in organizing team resources, prioritizing, assigning and monitoring individual activities to consistently meet or exceed delivery objectives within designated project time lines.
6. Estimates design, development and testing efforts and provides input to project plans.

System Analysis:

Lead user requirements working sessions. Responsibilities include:

  • Consultation with others to identify new projects and enhancements
  • Estimate efforts associated with new projects and implementing new enhancements into an existing application
  • Coordinate with manager and team members to ensure data model designs support Pharmacy reporting needs.
  • Develop high level design documents for reporting and analysis projects.
  • Performs functional design by translating requirements into functional specifications.
  • Lead high level design reviews.
  • Leads design and creation of technical strategies and requirements for data architecture.
  • Develop detail design documents for reporting and analysis projects.
  • Lead detailed design reviews.
  • Organize and lead team activities in troubleshooting and resolving program defects and ensure production application issues are thoroughly investigated and root causes are identified and resolved to ensure high-caliber customer service.
  • Assume lead role in ensuring production application issues are thoroughly investigated and root causes are identified and resolved.
  • Identifies and documents system specific standards relating to development,
  • testing, programming and documentation of BI applications.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships within Pharmacy and with TTS.
  • Develop and implement relational and multidimensional data marts, OLAP reporting, zero footprint web interfaces, strategic reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to provide real solutions for both technical and business related issues associated with the implementation of decision support and business intelligence applications.
  • Leads the development of business intelligence tools and analytic applications to enable end users access and analyze data in the data warehouse and multidimensional data marts.
  • Participate in evaluating new technologies to ensure the continuity and advancement of data and technology architecture within TFS Business Intelligence needs.
  • Ensure effective and efficient business processes in partnership with other reporting development teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Oracle 9i databases, data mining, and data warehouse concepts (data staging, batch processes, etc.).
  • SAS experience.
  • Strong client focus and ability to manage expectations.
