Business Analyst (London, UK)

The role of the business analyst will be to support clients in the use
of complex patient data and to undertake the production of high-standard
ad hoc reports to client specific requirements. You will also
- Be a key contact for clients in the provision of technical
assistance, training and support in the use of patient data.
- Develop an understanding of the clients needs in order to
provide input into proposals.
- Take responsibility for the management of research projects
from initiation to the delivery of the report, and presentations to
clients.
- Support the evaluation and testing of the database, including
new developments.
- Conduct qualitative or quantitative analysis to assist in the
identification of client issues and the development of solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Degree, such as mathematics, statistics, informatics,
pharmacology, pharmacy, or equivalent.
- Profound knowledge of statistical methods and its application.
- Established knowledge of SAS.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound and proven analytical skills.
- Computer literate. Excel, Word and PowerPoint a great advantage
but training will be arranged and aptitude is more important than
practice.
- Well organised, proactive and able to manage own projects.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to formulate targeted questions in identifying client
needs.
- Ability to work confidently at all levels within IMS Health and
client companies.
- A flexible and 'can do' attitude.
- Common sense.
Experience in the analysis of medical data, e.g. clinical trials Phase I
- IV, and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry would be
advantageous, but is not a pre-requisite. Applications from other
industries will be considered as long as you possess the transferable
statistical and analytical skills.
