Junior Programmer (New York, NY)Job Responsibilities • Primary: Create user-friendly front-ends for Excel-based decision models using Visual Basic for Applications ("VBA"). Useful background & skills include: o Providing computer-based deliverables (surveys, tabulations, executable programs) in a market research setting o Familiarity with Excel formulas, macros, charts, and functions o Some graphics manipulation experience • Secondary: Support in-house custom programming and ad hoc programming needs o Support for developing and testing programs for automation of in-house tasks; this includes Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access programming o Manipulation of potentially large datasets in varying formats using Access, Excel, DBMS/Copy, SAS, etc. Applicant Requirements: • Familiarity with Windows operating system, MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work with little supervision • Experience with programming tasks in a market research environment These additional skills are highly desirable • Experience with Visual Basic for Applications and/or Visual Basic • Database /dataset manipulation • Excellent attention to detail • Good organizational skills Please submit resume in word format with "Junior Programmer" in the -subject line to personnel@ziment.com.
