Description: Data preparation for statistical analysis (40%) Uploading/downloading data from the Oracle database and other sources Statistical analysis (40%) Performing simple statistical analyses: regressions & correlations Data cleaning & checking (20%) Using text editors etc to clean data before uploading into the system Qualifications: Knowledge of table structures, SQL, forms and other main DB (ideally Oracle) concepts Solid knowledge of at least one major language such as C, C++, Fortran etc. Skills Desired: Knowledge of R, S-Plus, PV-Wave, IDL, Mathlab or SAS (4th generation languages) is preferred.
