Our businesses include custom clothing programs for major online apparel retailers such as Lands End and JCPenney and our latest venture is a unique personalized search engine (www.zafu.com). Archetype also provides consulting services for many of the top apparel retailers in the US. We have 17 people and are located in a small converted bakery opposite Pixar in Emeryville.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Archetype is looking for an energetic and motivated full time data analyst. The person will primarily be responsible for algorithm development and general data analysis. We are looking for exceptional talent to join our team. Projects and work will be varied and require a high level of curiosity and initiative.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Work closely with head of product development to design experiments to gather data necessary for algorithm development
Extract data from multiple sources and platforms
Design, develop and implement data management and programming strategy to gather, maintain and validate data
Develop reports with accurate, easy to read and useful information for research use
Design and generate tracking and monitoring of program performance
Perform statistical analysis using R or other analytical tools/applications
Translate needs, issues and ideas into effective actions and programs
Communicate results/recommendations to team members
Review performance of programs to make recommendations for modification of algorithms
QUALITIFCATIONS
Degree in statistics, econometrics, biostatistics, operations research or mathematics
2 years programming experience in SAS, Mathematica or R
Detail-oriented, and highly organized
Highly energetic individual able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
