Job Description:
The Business Objects Developer is responsible for the software development and or support of the assigned application and the quality of the code. Responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of the product and release to customers under the leadership of the Architect and Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of Business Objects Universes and Reports based on report specifications.
- Supports the Architect in the overall application design.
- Communicate status/issues/questions to the Project Manager.
- Communicates with counterparts in the China offshore outsourcing center.
- Testing of all Business Objects reports.
- Making sure code is consistent with the application requirements and use case.
- Making sure good programming practices are followed
- Mentor junior developers.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- The position requires one to be technically savvy with the following technologies:
- Business Object report development.
- Business Object Universe development
- DB2 and SQL Server stored procedures
- Experience in using the Business Objects Administration tool is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in designing applications and producing design deliverables such as technical specifications.
- Very good understanding of the software life cycle development process
- Experience with Outsourcing ¨C experience with offshore model is preferred.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is a significant plus.
- Experience in the travel experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills ¨C both verbal and written. Good listening skills.
- Bachelor¡¯s degree in information technology, business, or engineering.
