Analyst/Sr.Analyst (San Francisco, CA)
Job Responsibilities
Three areas of primary responsibility will be:
- Data Management and Automation
- Access and compile large volumes of custom data from disparate sources into concise and precise information
- Verify accuracy, develops databases, systems, and programs that facilitate econometric modeling activities
- Ensure data quality and data documentation
- Solve problems and communicate with internal and external clients on data issues
- Determines information needs and sources of data
- Develop new data sources and data management tools to ensure most effective methods are utilized
- Data Analysis and presentation
- Production of visuals (charts, graphs), and presentation for summary trend statistics
- Statistical Modeling
- Assist in and formulate econometric models (OMD Metrics can impart training in this area)
Education/Experience Required
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics or economics (associated core quantitative disciplines such as Operations Research and Decision Sciences will be considered).
- 1+ years of experience in full supplier side market research or marketing consulting firms (preferably with Econometric/market mix modeling, Predictive Analytics, Data Mining or Financial Services/Analytics).
- Experience with digital media and reporting (web analytics, etc) is a plus
Areas of Expertise Required
- Expert level ability in Excel and/or SPSS.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and in a small team environment
- Demonstrated ability to organize effectively, work on multiple tasks, and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to communicate quantitative concepts succinctly
- Must possess a strong sense of detail
