Analyst will support the tactical and strategic efforts to direct
marketing efforts by analyzing, measuring and reporting on the direct
to Business marketing tactics.

We are seeking a Business Strategy Analyst (BSA) who will report to
the Senior Manager Business Contact Strategy. This individual will
support the tactical and strategic efforts to direct marketing efforts
by analyzing, measuring and reporting on the direct to Business
marketing tactics. The BSA will also support the list selection
process at a vendor or Dell Inc through either oversight or actual
execution. The BSA will also continually look for improvements in
list performance by comparing results over time and across sources to
improve yield in response rates, revenue and margin generation, cost
and other business metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Measure the results of the direct to Business efforts including, direct mail, FSI, email, phone and other vehicles.
- Assist in producing monthly forecasts of calls, orders, revenue, margin, and customer counts by Marcom vehicle using traditional DTC metrics along with Dell specific metrics.
- Assist in managing lists for optimizing customer acquisition economics and house file(retention/reactivation) value.
- Be extremely detailed oriented to evaluate circulation results at the list level.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to personnel both experienced and inexperienced in DTC marketing.
- Capable of communicating with statistical analysts, model builders and personnel with strong analytical backgrounds for the purpose of extracting actionable information used in Marcom vehicles.
- Assist in managing external vendor relationships to ensure Dell is always be given superior value and service.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years in the direct marketing industry analyzing either an acquisition or retention effort.
- Experience with vehicles including: DM, email, telephone calls, FSI, broadcast (TV and radio) and print.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of a statistical/programming language such as SAS, SPSS or LIMPDEP.
- BS in Business, Math, OR, Economics, Psychology,
- Prior experience in direct Business to Business marketing a plus such as a catalog or retail website.
