Business / Data Analyst - Cisco (San Jose, CA)
Cisco is looking for a strong Business / Data Analysts to help our high profile, communications client support large scale partner initiatives. This individual will combine their understanding and experience with large data repositories with their technical and analytical skills to interrogate, analyze and provide business information for complex problems.
Requirements:
- 3-8 years of proven operations support in an analytical capacity and including scheduled and ad-hoc reports development and support,
- Strong Business and Analytical skill for complex problem solving, demonstrated ability to understand the business problem and to use analytical skills to research and resolve.
- Independent and highly motivated attitude and work ethic with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation of operations support requirements.
Data systems:
- Strong understanding of relational data and experience extracting data from corporate using tools like Business Objects, Access etc
- Strong experience with Access and MS Excel specifically importing data from Excel to Access and verifying large amounts of data and reporting on / analyzing it (real time links, imports, Vlookups, Modeling, Macro development, etc.)
- 2+ years experience using MS-Access as a data repository particularly in conjunction with MS-Excel and other reporting / Analytical tools and developing solutions in Access using queries, tables, and linked table sources to support analysis requirements beyond Excel’s capability.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL and VBA is a plus.
- Familiarity with Sales transactions, channel program and operations data is highly beneficial.
- Capable of adapting to and focusing on multiple complex tasks in a high volume and changing environment with little or no supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience providing these services in a sales organization is highly desired.
Education: BS, Business or related preferred
Decent Access Experience (Queries, import data into tables)
Expert Excel Skills - MUST HAVE
Business Objects or Oracle Discoverer Experience
SQL, VB for Applications is a plus
