We are currently seeking to fill the position of Statistical Analyst/Data Modeler. About the position: As a Statistical Analyst/Data Modeler, your work is directly linked to the core of the company success: to develop and implement innovative solutions for our clients. Main responsibilities include: • Product development using statistical and other analytical techniques • Development of new, and enhancement of existing statistical models • Researching and implementing new statistical techniques • Publishing research / white papers and interesting factoids discovered in the data Requirements: The successful candidate will have to be a quick and keen learner to understand our business processes and models. He/she will enjoy working in fast paced environment and will be willing to assume increasing responsibilities. Main qualifications include: • BS in statistics, mathematics, or a related field with three or more years of experience, or an advanced degree in an appropriate field with at least one year of experience. • Solid SQL programming skills and experience working with large relational databases. • Knowledge of regression models (OLS, logistic and ANOVA). • Experience with one or more of the following languages: SAS, SPSS, STATA or S-Plus/R. • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) A plus if you have: • Knowledge of Regression Trees, Artificial Neural Networks, Text Mining, Branch Reduction Models, Support Vector Machines. • Knowledge of the insurance industry.
