Sr. SAS Programmer (San Francisco, CA)

ISO Innovative Analytics (iiA), a unit of ISO, is an insurance solutions company specializing in applying advanced analytic techniques and data management skills to the challenge of accurately assessing risk in the property and casualty insurance industry. Our clients include many of the nations leading property and casualty insurers.

iiA combines vast data resources with leading edge predictive modeling techniques to create the most accurate risk models in the industry. Our clients use these models to give them a competitive advantage in executing their marketing, underwriting and pricing strategies. We are looking for bright, energetic, hard working individuals with good business sense who enjoy working in fast paced environments and who are willing to assume increasing responsibilities. We are currently seeking to fill an opening for the position of Senior SAS Programmer.

The person in this position will:

1. Modify, standardize and implement existing SAS code
2. Write new SAS code from specs
3. Develop and maintain documentation for all programs
4. Participate actively in creating standardized processes and programs

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree with at least 5 years of applied experience
2. Excellent analytical and system analyst skills
3. Expert knowledge and understanding of SAS/BASE, working knowledge of SAS/STAT
4. Ability to write expert level, highly efficient and accurate programs in SAS
5. Knowledge of SQL and relational database fundamentals
6. Experience working with large databases, ETL experience preferred
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Detail oriented and well organized
9. Statistical/quantitative exposure preferred
10. Experience working with insurance data is a plus

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance along with flexible health and dependent care spending accounts, commute assistance, 401(k), and vacation.
