Job Description:
Develops and executes data-based business intelligence analyses of CNET traffic for client use, via direct collaboration with the CNET Sales team. Such analyses are delivered by the analyst directly to clients in a consultative manner with the purpose of deepening the relationship between the client and CNET Networks. Further, such analyses occur for a wide range of clients in all phases of client-relationship cycle; delivery is expected for both existing and prospective clients. Markets analyzed include the key CE categories such as Wireless phones, PCs, TVs, and MP3 players.
The Analyst ensures accuracy of the data, performs queries and analyses, presents findings in clear, easy-to-understand analytical reports, and develops recommendations based on findings. The Analyst is expected to think creatively in approaching and addressing relevant business challenges and is expected to be abreast and current on applicable market conditions and developments.
The Analyst assists the CNET Sales team by performing and rendering analyses using syndicated media research sources such as IntelliQuest CIMS, MRI, Nielsen NetRatings, Ad Relevance, and so forth as a means to explain the quality and uniqueness of our audience.
The position involves working in cross functional teams with the spectrum spanning the sales and product marketing organizations to the data warehouse and catalog organizations.
This individual is also responsible for working on and initiating processes and quantitative methods for improvement the quality and relevance of business intelligence data.

Primary Job Responsibilities
· Run and analyze proprietary business intelligence log file data as the basis for creating business intelligence reports to our clients
· Develop Powerpoint presentations summarizing the findings and implications
· Deliver presentations directly to clients
· Initiate ongoing relationships within the CNET sales organization to ensure that clients are being informed of applicable opportunities, and that the CNET-client relationship is at the highest possible level
· Maintain an organized project management schedule
· Position requires a minimum of 30% travel

Required Qualifications:
· 2 years work experience with BA/BS or equivalent training and experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
· Experience in presenting to and working directly with clients
· Proven ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
· Proficiency with database access tools such as MicroStrategy DSS Web
· Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Strong math aptitude and focused on data accuracy
· Experience with log file analytics
· Must be well-organized and able to work on several detailed projects at once
· Quick learner who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
· Quantitative/statistical background; Familiar with statistical tools like SPSS, SAS
· Knowledge of CNET properties
· Interest in online media
· Interest in the consumer technology space
· Experience in marketing, consulting or research
