Role Overview
The person in this position will be a key driver in the Analytics team and will develop cutting-edge analytical methodologies. Further, the person will act as a credible business partner in client engagements with Fortune 100 companies such as Kraft, ConAgra, Proctor & Gamble and many others.
Responsibilities
Develop methods for modeling and analyzing quantitative data collected during client engagements;
Develop and implement techniques for visualizing and presenting above data and analysis results;
Develop and implement research approaches and methodologies for client engagements;
Interface with clients and deliver data analysis presentations;
Help qualify business and product initiatives by identifying the needs of our clients, their markets and consumers.
Collaborate closely with all groups across the company;
Evolve and validate new and existing research tools;
Conduct competitive analyses and collaborate in prioritizing product features.
Keep abreast of recent statistical and market research innovations and trends.
Coach junior members of the Analytics team.
Requirements
5+ years experience in market research and/or statistical modeling;
2+ years client facing experience;
MS or Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematical statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, advanced quantitative market research or a social science field with a methodological concentration;
Rigorous, innovative, and independent thinking. Strong initiative.
Superior written, oral, and presentation communication skills;
Strong, in-depth background in mathematical statistics;
Experience with large simulation models;
Proficiency with mathematical and statistical packages such as R(S+), SAS, Stata, Matlab, or SPSS;
Knowledge of clustering techniques, latent-class models, market research models (conjoint and choice models, Bayesian models), nonlinear models, and optimization algorithms;
Knowledge of multi-dimensional visualization techniques;
Experience with survey design and delivery is a plus;
Exposure to genetic and evolutionary computation is a plus.
Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods and/or other consumer-oriented industries is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel (graphical functions and VBA) is a plus.
Experience with Java, SQL, VBA is a plus.
