Marketing Analyst, Automotive CRM Programs (Boston, MA)

The Harte-Hanks Analytics group provides consultative support to clients which is data-based, analysis-driven and grounded in a solid understanding of direct marketing and customer relationship management. We conduct customer and product analyses, develop models, and design tests, often incorporating primary research to uncover attitudes driving behavior. We overlay that with a clear understanding of the marketplace gained through in-dept. geo-demographic analysis - all with the goal being to ensure that what is learned becomes part of the client’s body of knowledge.

Objective:

Set up, execute and report against Direct Marketing campaigns using campaign management tools. This individual will be responsible for setting up and utilizing automation techniques to support reporting and marketing efforts. This is a fast paced environment that requires a high energy individual that can work well within a team structure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support variety of marketing efforts ranging from customer acquisition to customer loyalty activities. Will include:
• Mail Campaigns:
• Design and execute mail campaigns.
• Design and deliver on-going and back-end reporting for analysis.
• Marketing Database Reporting:
• Design and deliver standard marketing reporting package.
• Support ad hoc data queries to support a variety of marketing programs.
• Prepare specific program deliverables (presentations, reports, graphs, etc.), utilizing database software tools.
• This position requires Database/Direct Marketing experience – and, ideally, a strong campaign execution background using campaign management software (i.e. Epiphany, Unica, XChange, etc.) as well as experience directly querying databases via SQL.
• This is a direct marketing execution role and we need someone that can jump right in, learn the business and environment and be productive quickly. This individual must be able to multi task and work in a fast-paced marketing agency work setting.

Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years experience in database marketing, direct marketing and / or CRM.
• Demonstrated facility accessing data in a relational database environment, with Oracle experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with database querying tools, languages and analytical platforms supporting database marketing such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, Clementine, Unica or Cognos.
• Creative thinking, exceptional analytical skills coupled with solid business foundation.
• An innovative, positive, and self-directed attitude. Interested in “figuring out” solutions to problems or methodology for improved client deliverables.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a client-facing, multi-agency/vendor environment.
• Responsive, enthusiastic, team-oriented personal style for effectiveness with client(s) and colleagues.
• BA/BS, preferably within Statistics, mathematics, economics or a technology focused degree.
