Description:
In this role, you will work with business partners in the Merchant organization, Marketing, Real Estate, Supply Chain and Customer Experience to influence key strategic decisions through rigorous market/customer analytics. Responsible for integrating data driven customer insights across the franchise - be a champion of change. Guide insights on customer behavior and lifetime value. Create and manage tactical segmentation schemes to improve customer acquisition, retention and loyalty. Be financially accountable on continuously improving our marketing spending effectiveness.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Identify, size business opportunities and prioritize analytics projects 2. Manage multiple high level projects and be accountable for meeting deadlines 3. Develop and own profitable customer contact management strategies to orchestrate our go-to-market programs 4. Oversee development, maintenance and enhancement of statistical models to generate profitable incremental sales in marketing 5. Conceptualize modeling framework, define data requirements, create predictive variables, and coordinate model implementation with other business partners 6. Prepare documentation for developed models and provide analysis support for business strategies 7. Oversee experimental designs to support ongoing test and learn process 8. Leverage state-of-the-art data mining tools and modeling techniques to solve business problems 9. Provide analytic leadership on cross-functional teams to deliver business results 10. Perform financial modeling and analysis to provide recommendations to senior management 11. Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching and career development of direct reports
Minimum Requirement:
-MS or MA in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other related fields with emphasis in quantitative methods. Ph.D. is a plus
-Excellent technical and analytical skills - expertise in multivariate statistical analysis including regression, regression tree, logistic regression, cluster analysis and ANOVA.
-Proficiency in SAS, SQL, SAS Macros and other programming tools. Knowledge of CHAID, CART or other data mining packages
-7+ years of applied data mining or database marketing experience (in disciplines such as credit scoring, financial services marketing, portfolio risk analytics)
-Experience managing successful financial budgets required (such as Direct Mail program P&Ls)
-Experience managing analytics staff required
-The candidate must demonstrate a pattern of success in using advanced quantitative analytic methods to solve business problems. Ability to clearly communicate with and persuasively present to a wide variety of audiences, specifically senior management
-Ability to use data and business knowledge to influence others
-Ability to succeed in a matrix environment
-Ability to deal with complex concepts and details
-Strong consulting skills
-Excellent organizational skills, including time management and relationship building skills
