Overall Purpose:
The Data Strategist oversees the data collection and analysis operations of multiple brands on one large client. This individual works very closely with the media groups to ensure that the right measurement strategies are in place and the proper data intelligence protocols are being followed. The Data Strategist is ultimately responsible for the quality and timeliness of work being done for all of their assigned brands.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Work with media team and account teams to promote closed-loop marketing from acquisition through retention including review of media analysis for recommendations to client and media team on tracking and systems to maximize returns on media efforts.
• Represent analytics, database management and CRM support across multiple brands and in any assigned new business pitches.
• Database development as required for clients to incorporate acquisition, retention and site raw data for the purposes of efforts.
• Assistance as inter-agency resource for data management systems, reporting tools, media serving systems and site tracking systems
• Active participation with media team through attendance of regular team meetings voicing trends, issues and best practices seen across clients to aid in standardization of analysis. Work with Media team to ensure proper training and uses of data and analytic tools and to create an appropriate measurement strategy for each campaign
• Oversee creation and presentation of analysis templates that are in keeping with overall service line standards
• Select proprietary tools, vendors and/or third party ad serving technologies to report and analyze clients' post analysis data and manage these vendors on a project basis
• Ensure that quality and timeliness of measurement deliverables meet client expectations
• Identify measurement needs for assigned accounts

Requirements:
• Requires 5 - 7 years experience in analytics, including management
• Prefer industry experience in media, marketing or internet
• Previous experience training and supervising staff
• Must have high level of proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of research processes from pre planning to post-analysis
• Familiarity with SQL, SPSS, SAS or other statistics software, and database modeling
• Proficiency--or at minimum working knowledge--with a programming language such as Visual Basic
• Familiarity with third party tracking and reporting tools such as DoubleClick DART, @Plan, AdKnowledge, Site Side Analytics and/or MatchLogic is a plus
• Knowledge of media reports such as reach vs. frequency, cross-site duplications and other a la carte reporting
• Understand the latest trends and developments used in post analysis (Comscore, Insite Express, Dynamic Logic)
