SQL Reporting Analyst (Dallas, TX)Duration: 90 days-to-Contract Salary: $70K-$80K Job Description: Will perform complex financial, statistical and management analyses which support programs and initiatives; provide sound professional recommendations and significant assistance in long-term planning; may also help to define strategic direction and product requirements for new features, products and information architecture. Job Responsibilities: Assisting the Product team with defining key metrics for product success. Act as a SME regarding Web metrics – ranging from terminology standardization to the impact of user behavior on key conversion factors. Identify new product opportunities through data analysis and interpretation. Working with Product Managers to develop business cases (including ROI) and financial justification for new service offerings and enhancements. Working with Product Managers to set benchmarks and establish analytics for key performance criteria. Performing ad-hoc analysis ranging from clickstreams to deep data dives driven by demographic and psychographics data. Participate in the design and site flow to make sure that all metrics are built into the system. Work with Product Managers to establish and monitor key benchmarks, analytics and ROI. Identify opportunities or flaws and make recommendations for changes, new features & products. Participate in cross-functional work sessions with personnel from Product, Development, Marketing, Research, Database, QA and Business Development departments. Position Requirements 3 or more years experience in analyzing click streams and web usage data preferably in an online retail or online subscription environment. 3 or more years experience using SQL to query large production databases, preferably in an online retail or subscription environment. Requires in depth knowledge regarding website design and its impact on the customer experience (e.g. navigation). Strong SQL, plus either SAS, VBA for Excel, or ASP.NET experience required. Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated past experience contributing strategic analysis and solutions regarding customer needs, product designs, and data analysis. Solid knowledge of SQL databases, OLAP reporting tools, and Excel. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Data Warehousing highly desirable.
