Head of Pharmacometrics(Scotland, UK)
ROLE:
Our client, a leading company within the pharmaceutical industry, is
looking to recruit an Operating Area Manager to oversee the management
and development of the Data Management, SAS Programming, Statistics,
Medical Writing, Pharmacokinetics and Project Management functions.
This is a new position which will provide services which support the
European Preclinical and Phase I operations and will require you to work
with scientific staff from a range of scientific disciplines.
TASKS:
You will be instrumental in recruiting this multi-disciplinary team and
in implementing and managing the growth of this function. You will also
ensure that appropriate training is provided and that career development
programmes are in place for staff. Reporting directly to the Medical
Director, you will be expected to provide comprehensive monthly
reporting on the financial performance and general activities of this
key business unit.
SKILLS & EXPERENCE:
You should have a degree in a relevant discipline and have significant
experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO sector, some of which must have
been at a management level. Effective organisational skills, coupled
with sound financial and budgetary understanding, are required. Since a
key part of this new role will be the establishment and development of a
dedicated team in the above disciplines, a proven ability to manage,
motivate and train staff is required. In addition, you will be required
to communicate with other groups within the organisation both locally
and internationally, so you should have excellent communication,
negotiation and interpersonal skills.
