Research Statistician - Nielsen (Oldsmar, FL)

The Research Statistician position includes the following activities:


  • Assist in performing statistical studies by following established procedures including data support, data analysis, sample selection, universe estimates and research projects.
  • Assist in the design and execution of customized / ad hoc studies in order to answer client questions.
  • Develop, update and maintain software / databases.
  • Design and conduct research to develop, improve or justify Nielsen research methods.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in Statistics, Bachelors degree in Statistics with 2+ year experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SAS programming.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and sampling methods
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to estimate project time requirements and work independently.
  • Some overtime and travel required
