Job Description
Experian is seeking a highly motivated Director, Web Analytics to join our team at our Costa Mesa, CA operational headquarters.
Responsibilities: - Will contribute to the success of our online business intelligence initiatives by establishing and leading Experian’s internet properties by gathering and analyzing data to identify key performance indicators, understand online traffic patterns, segment customer behaviors and prioritize site issues resulting in improved web site performance.
- Present detailed analysis on specific problem areas or for quantifying trouble spots across web sites.
- Work closely with online marketing and development teams to ensure data requirements, key performance indicators and business requirements stay closely aligned.
- Lead and develop a team to develop advanced analytical solutions across Experian’s B2B internet properties.
- Manage the web analytics platform in order to analyze web site performance and trends across multiple properties.
- Make recommendations based on detailed quantitative analysis and ad hoc reporting to key decision makers in understanding site usage and customer behaviors.
- Educate the company regarding web metrics ranging from terminology to the impact of user behavior on key performance indicators.
- Develop best practices for tracking and analyzing web data.
- Interact with site managers, online marketing and development groups to identify opportunities to optimize results based on statistical analysis.
- Execute analytical projects and at times lead project development efforts for statistical models, data analysis, and decision support tools.
Requirements: - B.S. degree in computer science, statistics, information systems or mathematics.
- 8-10 years of experience in data analysis/statistical modeling with at least 5 years in hands-on website analysis.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to develop a team
- A proven track record for leading and executing complex analytical projects.
- Excellent business analysis skills with proven ability to utilize information for actionable decisions to achieve business results.
- Understanding of web languages and technology (HTML, Javascript, Cookies, XML)
- Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture, WebTrends, Visual Sciences, etc.).
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, Cognos, etc.) and experience accessing and querying databases.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL) & tools (DB2/Oracle).
- Expert analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, understand and interpret data from both internal and client perspectives.
- Solid presentation skills with proven ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
