GfK NOP Marketing Sciences are looking for a Statistical Consultant to join
our team of 8 professional statisticians. The Marketing Sciences group
provides consultancy and analysis to all sectors within the company
including Automotive, Business & Technology, Consumer, Financial,
Healthcare, New Media and Mystery Shopping.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the field of conjoint research,
both from a theoretical view point and in the application of techniques such
as CBC, ACA, CVA and Hierarchical Bayes. The role also includes the use of a
wide range of multivariate techniques, as well as various types of
specialised modelling and forecasting techniques. We also provide advice on
sample/research design and survey methodology as we have extensive
involvement with product and methodological development within the company.

Experience in advanced modelling and forecasting techniques would be
advantageous as well as knowledge of programming languages such as VBA and
S-Plus/R. They should also be highly competent in using statistical
software, particularly SPSS.

Candidates must have a degree or postgraduate degree with a substantial
statistics content. They should have an excellent understanding of advanced
analytical research techniques and their application to marketing research.
They will also have an interest in developing and applying that knowledge
within this role.

The role involves a considerable amount of contact and consultation with
clients and internal research staff. We therefore require that the candidate
has excellent communication skills as well as experience of presenting.

A UK working permit is required.
