To this end, we are currently seeking a Search Engine Marketing Manager to directly own and strategically manage high volume paid search campaigns critical to Expedia.com's success. In this role, you will manage relationships with search engine account teams and vendors, grow/adapt campaigns to generate incremental revenue, manage large budgets to specific ROI goals, and innovate to produce revolutionary successes.
We are looking for someone who has 1) experience and demonstrated success in directly managing paid search campaigns, OR 2) deep experience and demonstrated success in direct response online marketing.
Responsibilities
Directly own, manage, execute, and develop existing paid search campaigns to profitably generate bookings and revenue growth for Expedia.com.
Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports, projections and reviews.
Manage & continually extract incremental strategic or tactical value from direct relationships with search engine partners and vendors.
Mine and analyze data to generate actionable insights in order to improve campaign growth and efficiency.
Manage cross-functional relationships and coordinate efforts with Merchandising and other Marketing channels to achieve greater clarity around goals, implementation of campaigns, and measurements of success.
Continuously test for success (ads, landing pages, keyword expansions, etc.) and develop an efficient infrastructure to do so, as well as to syndicate that success throughout all search campaigns managed by the team.

Manage campaign invoicing to ensure, timely payments to vendors.

Experience
Skills
2+ years of direct search marketing campaign management experience.
2+ years of relationship management experience with search engines and/or other publishers or ad networks strongly preferred.
1+ year of experience with an advanced analytics software package, such as Omniture or Core Metrics, and super strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated strength analyzing data to generate insights and execute accordingly
Superior Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Pivot tables are essential. A mastery of text, logical, and lookup functions are highly desired. Macro authoring, statistical functions, and MS Access skills a bonus. .
Demonstrated success in creative/ad copy authoring and testing on a massive scale.
Fluency in HTML
Knowledge of SE API capabilities, benefits
Experience with Yahoo Panama platform either thru beta testing, migration, or live program management is a huge plus.
Self-starter, independent thinker, and whatever it takes to get the job done right attitude.
