KEY RESULT AREAS: ' Asset management ' Costs ' Customer service ' Production and inventory reporting
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. 10% of Time Build and maintain historical models and data files using a variety of statistical techniques including backward stepwise regression, multiple linear regression, and other time series methods. 2. 20% of Time Calculate weekly statistical forecasts to be used as the basis for scheduling at all plants and materials procurement at the division level. 3. 30% of Time Recalibrate forecast models periodically by analyzing predictions vs. actual sales patterns and making appropriate model revisions. 4. 15% of time Collect, utilize and measure key CDG, Marketing and Operations Planning inputs to the statistical forecast models. 5. 5% of Time Develop, maintain, enhance, and document SAS Demand Planning System programs. Provide Demand Planning system and SAS programming technical guidance to Demand Planning Statisticians. 6. 5% of Time Continually monitor forecast variances and minimize these variances through statistical research and experimentation. 7. 5% of Time Maintain awareness of current developments in statistics and their potential application to problems and processes within the department and division. 8. 5% of Time Furnish expert statistical advice, analysis, interpretation of results and presentation of results relative to problems and processes within the department and division. 9. 5% of Time Coordinate and direct the collection of data, analysis and interpretation for selected statistical analyses and studies
Working Relationships: 1. Works closely with the Demand Planning Manager, Demand Planning Development Manager, Director of Operations Planning, and Information Technology 's application development/support staff. 2. Will lead Demand Planning Statisticians on selected system development/enhancement efforts and statistical analyses/studies. 3. Works closely with both Supply Chain staff and I.T. staff of 'Make To Forecast' markets that St. Louis' Demand Planning team serves. 4. Works closely with CDG customer teams that provide AMT uplift feedback, and Marketing uplift feedback contacts
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Masters degree or Ph.D. in Statistics or Applied Mathematics, and demonstrated statistical proficiency. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Location: St. Louis area

Requirements
Education: Masters degree or Ph.D. in Statistics or Applied Mathematics, and demonstrated statistical proficiency.
Experience: . 3 plus years experience in Statistical Forecasting. . 3 plus years of experience, and demonstrated proficiency, in the use of following SAS Modules: Base, STAT, Macro, Graph, and PC File Formats. Experience with SAS Connect, Share, AF and Assist is a plus. Candidates will provide two representative samples of their SAS programming work.
