THE OPPORTUNITY: STATISTICAL ANALYST/SR. STATISTICAL ANALYST
Market Force Information is seeking a Statistical Analyst/Sr. Analyst to assist in the design, development and presentation of customized and syndicated analysis. Projects generally fall into one of the following categories: customer experience research, market analysis, survey analysis, customer loyalty and value management, data analytics and predictive modeling, and reporting. This position requires a good blend of leadership, cross-functional coordination, analytical abilities, problem solving skills and the desire to get the job done. Strong project management skills and common sense are essential, with the ability to interface at all levels within the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with Director, Syndicated Analytics, to carry out statistical data analysis, design, develop and test metrics, and present results.
• Develop new analytical products and conduct custom adhoc studies.
• Work collaboratively with internal partners including marketing, sales and product management teams to effectively communicate and coordinate efforts.
Qualifications:
• Masters degree with emphasis in statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research or other quantitative discipline preferred. (Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience will be considered)
• Minimum 2 years experience in statistical analysis preferably in a customer insight, market research, direct marketing or equivalent environment.
• Experience of research methods, experimental design, modeling and working with real data sets to solve business problems involving data analysis.
• Working knowledge of SPSS required (can substitute with excellent knowledge of SAS)
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to grasp data and business issues and to interpret analytical findings from a business perspective
• Ability to convey results and issues both verbally and in writing to non-technical audience
• Self motivated with the ability to complete assignments with minimum supervision
• Detail oriented, well organized and ability to multi-task
• Results oriented and drive for success; displays sense of urgency and persistence until goals are met; motivated by results of work rather than reward; applies problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles; entrepreneurial, displays initiative and takes ownership of work.
• Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%).
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
