Sr. Strategic Analyts (Menlo Park, CA)

ATC-Onlane is the leading online wholesale marketplace for used vehicles in North America. The wholesale used car marketplace connects businesses that sellers of used vehicles (such as manufacturers, leasing companies, rental companies, corporate fleets and automotive dealers) with businesses that are buyers of used vehicles (automotive dealers). ATC-Onlane has been in business since 1999 and has grown rapidly to become the leading provider of online marketplaces to the wholesale used car industry. Our customers include many of the largest companies in the industry, including, amongst others, Ford Credit, DaimlerChrysler Services, VW Credit, Honda Financial Services, Nissan/Infiniti, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, GE Capital and Chase Automotive Finance. We have over 25,000 automotive dealers registered and using our technology to source inventory for their dealerships.

ATC Open is a marketplace that takes vehicles from any used car seller and makes them available for sale to any licensed dealer in America. We bring tremendous value to buyers by giving them access to inventory nationwide from the comfort of their desk while delivering hundreds of dollars in savings to sellers versus traditional means. To achieve that goal, ATC Open is looking for a critical member of the team to mine the massive amounts of data to identify what can be done to sell more cars. Areas of focus will include, but not limited to:
What data can we give our sellers to make better decisions? Areas including product pricing, process improvement, product promotions, and more.
What data can we give our dealer sales team to bring on new buyers. Opportunities include leveraging any one of hundreds of buyer lists from within and outside of the company.
What data can we give our dealer sales team to increasingly leverage the platform? Opportunities include better inventory management and purchase suggestions.
Develop a theory to achieve one of the objectives above
Mine the data warehouse and OLTP systems
Organize the data in to a logical and compelling presentation
Present the results internally and externally to achieve your desired change

Sample Projects
Understand the efficacy of particular marketing programs and promotions
Analyze seller pricing to determine greatest opportunities
Determine which prospect lists yield the highest return
Educate the dealer sales team on all prior buyers and their interests
Help to suggest possible new purchases for existing dealers

Ideal Candidate will possess:

* Superior analytical skills with proven ability to analyze and interpret data to extract meaningful information
* Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate quantitative concepts to diverse audiences
* Detail oriented with proven ability to operate proactively in a highly flexible, fast paced environment
* Independent, creative, and resourceful
* Strong data mining skills with tools such as MS Access, Cognos, SAS, and/or SQL
* Minimum 4 years related experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or risk management
* Bachelor*s degree in mathematics and/or statistical methods. Advanced degree in related field a plus.
