SUMMARIZED JOB DESCRIPTION
• Prepares loss cost reviews, filings, circulars and pricing in a timely and accurate manner for submission to state insurance departments and to ISO affiliates.
• Responds to questions from regulators and insurers on filings, circulars and other ISO products.
• Provides research into improvements in ratemaking procedures.
• Make presentations to panels as required.
• Work with other ISO divisions to ensure timely and accurate production of ISO products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
The qualified candidate should have a College degree with a major in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field, with an overall GPA of at least a 3.2.
This can be replaced with at least two years worth of relevant experience. Passing of at least one CAS exam is preferred but not required. Great oral and written communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work independently or as a part of a team. TSO mainframe and end-user programming experience (particularly SAS) would be invaluable. Strong spreadsheet and other PC skills are essential. You must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
