DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS,OPENMARKET BUSINESS UNIT

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the financial processes of OpenMarket. OpenMarket is a financial system for “off-net” commerce and processes large volumes of transactions, similar in model to a credit card system. The complete financial and reporting processes for managing this business are the responsibility of the director.
• Ensure that customers of OpenMarket have an extremely high quality, consistent, and efficient experience using OpenMarket, getting paid through the service, and getting needed information and reports. Ensure that customers get paid on time every time and that disputes, errors, and questions are minimal.
• As part of the OpenMarket management team, help the business establish a highly scalable, efficient, and profitable business model.
• Continue developing an effective Business Operations team, that can effectively execute the following functions:
     -Reporting and system analysis: creation of internal and external reports on the key business and financial metrics needed for OpenMarket and its customers.
      -Accounting, AR, AP: The specific accounting resources will report directly to the Qpass division financial management, and will address AP/AR and general accounting functions, but will have “dotted-line” accountability to this position.
     - Establishing “factoring” service, with associated controls: enabling OpenMarket to pay its merchants rapidly, in advance of receipt of operator funds, with minimal financial risk
     -Customer “onboarding”
     -Contracts administration
     -Budgeting and financial planning (revenue and expense)
• Evangelize and help train new employees and internal partners on the OpenMarket vision and business model
• Ensure that participating Amdocs/Qpass finance has a clear and open communication channel with OpenMarket and that their needs and concerns are met and rapidly addressed. Ensure that OpenMarket business has its needs and objectives met in working with Amdocs/Qpass finance.
• Rapidly implement and improve new business processes in a developing, ambiguous, volatile market space
• Manage complex contractual processes and administration so that the OpenMarket sales team can efficiently close deals while adhering to reasonable standards and controls
• Contribute to the development of a winning, highly scalable, efficient business model for OpenMarket – which we intend to become a NEW MARKET STANDARD

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of senior financial/operations experience for a high technology/internet/financial company preferable. Ideally includes experience managing back-office financial and business processes for financial systems and/or processing services
• Experience implementing financial and business processes to insure that a new business can quickly scale, has efficient and effective processes in place, and has adequate financial controls in place
• Experience establishing and managing business processes with underlying controls compliant with SOX 404 and potentially SAS 70, including:
     -Financial reporting
     -Risk management
     -Cash management
     -Personnel planning
     -Budgeting
     -Accounting/AR/AP
     -Factoring (ideally)
     -Financial and business reporting and modeling (internal and external)
     -Workflow and process development
     -Legal/contracts management
     -Other administrative processes
     -Experience building, developing, and managing a business operations team initiating/closing contracts, working with finance and legal resources, and efficiently, quickly, and pragmatically getting processes and reporting systems in place
     -Possess track record of working with highest executive levels internally and externally to build trusted relationships and evangelize business goals and strategies
     -Ability to contribute to the strategic development of an early stage business
     -Action-oriented and drive for results; ability to overcome all obstacles to get projects accomplished
     -Ability to juggle many priorities while still attaining results
     -Proactive and aggressive.
     -Fast thinking in high stress negotiation settings.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED
• MBA, CPA and/or financial/accounting degree preferred.
• Undergraduate degree required.

Position is located in Seattle, WA.

This is a full-time (exempt) position.
