Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Seattle, WA)
Reporting directly to the Senior Business Operations Analyst OpenMarket, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be a key member of the OpenMarket team and will have an exciting role in the OpenMarket Business Operations organization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform data mining and simple programming to design, develop, enhance and maintain internal and external customer reporting functions.
Insure that ad-hoc and periodic reporting has the appropriate level of QA.
Communicate with internal and external customers to understand their information needs and translating those into reporting requirements, ensuring that overall objectives and specifications are met.
Assist in creating extracts from various processing systems and combine in one centralized data source.
Create processes to ensure data integrity between the source and target systems.
Create new reports as required, and automate the creation of regular reports.
Assist in creation of reporting dashboards and vendor scorecards.
Respond to the need of management and external entities for data, root-cause analysis, analytical and quantitative support.
Seek, obtain, monitor and analyze feedback from clients to improve systems, processes and reporting.
Contribute to the development of a winning, highly scalable, efficient business model for OpenMarket – which we intend to become a NEW MARKET STANDARD.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent knowledge of SQL-based database fundamentals, including familiarity with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
Extensive experience working with relational databases and analytical reporting.
Strong experience in trouble shooting errors in reports.
Superior Excel and VBA skills required.
Experience in high transaction database environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Very detail oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented development environment.
Working knowledge of Minitab or similar statistical software packages.
Working knowledge of Windows 2000 and other Microsoft Office products.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Ability to devise creative solutions to problems and think logically.
Ability to meet deadlines and be willing to be flexible when priorities are re-assessed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required.
