Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst (Santa Monica, CA)

Job Description:

As the Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for the design and delivery of reporting from the enterprise data warehouse. You will be responsible for supporting the business operational groups reporting needs. Large volumes of both internal and external data are utilized to manage the business processes. A growing segment of real time data is being used for detailed data analysis and mining. Your work must be business results oriented with metrics focused on high quality, timeliness and scalability. You will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and providing responsive end-user support and training.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain the business intelligence architecture
• Design and develop complex reporting to meet the business requirements
• Partner with business operational personnel to define requirements and reporting specifications
• Work with the ETL team and business operational teams to understand data sources and implement new requirements.
• Train business users on the business intelligence architecture and reporting components

• Strong business and analytical skills
• Able to produce business results in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to translate the business process into effective reporting solutions
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Outstanding report writing skills
• Experience in writing technical and end-user system documentation

• BS degree is required
• 3+ years of reporting experience (MicroStrategy)
• 2+ yrs of modeling and data warehouse methodology
• Experience in supporting multiple users in a large scale data warehouse environment (multiterabyte)
