Analytics Director (Seattle, WA)Responsibilities: * Provide strategy and project recommendations for ongoing analytical improvements to the company's products, and asses the implications of those improvements * Engage in critical analytic research and development for products * Prototype analytics improvements to assess value of integration and explore implementation options * Assist with developing test cases, analyze system behavior, and monitor the performance of newly released algorithms * Oversee the production and presentation of client-facing, ad hoc and scheduled analytics research * Provide support for Software Development and Operations teams * Handle special projects as assigned Requirements: * 7+ years of experience in data mining or generating statistic-based research * 5+ years of demonstrated leadership ability including direct experience managing highly quantitative personnel * Programming and statistical package expertise * Basic familiarity with relational databases (such as SQL) required; additional programming experience (e.g., VBA and C++) strongly preferred. * Solid leadership and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders * Creative person with strong analytics and quantitative abilities * Experience working in an ever-changing entrepreneurial environment is preferred * Experience in interactive marketing a plus * A Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science and/or Econometrics required * Post-graduate degree in a quantitative-related field strongly preferred If you feel that you are qualified for this position, please email me a cover letter and Word doc or PDF version of your resume.
