Internet Marketing Analytics Manager (Los Angeles, CA)

LAMPS PLUS, a leading lighting and home dιcor retailer, has an immediate need for an Internet Marketing Analytics Manager to join our fast-growing Internet Marketing department.

Qualified candidates will possess strong data mining and problem solving skills to analyze business, marketing and website metrics, and will be able to derive actionable recommendations in a concise manner. This position works closely with members of the Internet Marketing, Web Site Design, and Content teams.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Analyze business, marketing, website metrics using external tools such as Coremetrics and Hitwise, as well as internal tracking tools.
• Track and analyze business, marketing and website Key Performance Indicators or Metrics, and communicate key findings to the team. Examples include coupon usage and discount analysis, segmentation and opportunities, click path and abandonment, new vs. repeat customer behavior.
• Analyze web site metrics and derive actionable recommendations. Examples include click stream and path analysis of sites, user behavior of various segments of sites, merchandising opportunities, page conversion.
• Analyze product pages on the site and derive actionable recommendations. Examples include high volume viewed products with low conversion rate, ad-hoc pricing, product comparison of selected product categories.
• Conduct analysis of multi-channel impact of web, stores and catalog channels.
• Take on projects in search engine marketing, affiliate marketing and media marketing, SEO, social networking as needed.
• Ad-hoc projects for the VP of Internet Marketing. Examples include competitor monitoring of business strategy, site features, marketing technology, marketing initiatives (PPC, shopping comparison site, affiliate marketing, SEO), merchandise offering, etc.

The successful candidate will have the following skill sets and experience:
• Extremely proficient in analyzing and interpreting data, and being able to synthesize information from a variety of sources and translate into actionable recommendations in a concise manner.
• Strong hands on quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills with a knowledge of Excel Pivot Tables, vertical lookups, and if-then statements.
• At least 1-years of experience in web analytics such as Coremetrics, Omniture, WebSideStory, Web Trends, Google Analytics, etc.
• Good understanding of internet marketing, web site metrics and usability, as well as online merchandising in the e-commerce industry.
• Self-starter who needs little direct supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to present detailed analysis in a concise manner.
• Able to interact with various functions of the company.
• Strong presentation and organizational skills.
