Engagement Manager, Database Marketing / CRM (Boston area)

Reperio, Inc., a Boston area Executive Search Firm, is currently conducting a search for a CRM / Database Marketing Engagement Manager (or Project Manager). This individual will be performing engagement and project management duties as part of client engagements resulting in state-of-the-art technology enabled marketing solutions. He/she will lead the implementation team, coordinate resources, manage the project scope, ensure quality of deliverables, develop and maintain status documents and project plans. He/she will be a primary point of contact and will ensure proper communication among all project stakeholders. This position requires in-depth understanding of customers’ business and marketing objectives and corresponding solution components.

Sales Support:

-Assist in the development of proposals for senior client management, including project approach, timeline, and deliverables.
-Contribute to the RFP and contracts development.
-Develop and present implementation related information to prospects.

Project Management and Delivery:

-Manage all aspects of solution implementation from inception to deployment.
-Deliver the project according to design specifications and project plan.
-Ensure accuracy and completeness of project deliverables.

Client Interaction:

-Interact extensively with all levels of the customer organization.
-Present or review major deliverables and status reports to senior client management as needed.
-Troubleshoot client issues and escalate as required.
-Build strong working relationships with clients, partners and internal partners (i.e. Sales Organization, PSD and Client Services).


Practice Development:

-Assist in the development of methodologies, approaches, and models.
-Assist in development of templates for the client solution (i.e. CRM application specifications, statements of work, requirements documents, etc.).

Requirements:

-7+ years experience as a project lead delivering CRM/CDM applications. Prior experience in working for companies in the Database Marketing, Direct Marketing, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, CRM, Marketing Automation, Campaign Management and Analytics space preferred.
-BS degree; MBA or advanced degree desirable.
-Ability to travel up to 20%.
-Understanding of user-end applications such as E.piphany, Unica, Microstrategy and Cognos.
-Understanding of technical architectures, including RDBMS, client-server, mobile computing, call centers a plus.
-Domain or process expertise in the area of CRM, CDM, ERM, e-commerce, and database marketing.
-Strong project management skills for data warehousing or custom CRM projects in a large complex environment (multiple platforms, new technology, and global projects).
-Demonstrated experience in leading multi-million dollar projects through entire project life cycle.
-Experience working with integrators.
-Understanding of SQL, NT, Oracle, UNIX, HTML, ETL and data management tools.
-Strong negotiation skills.
-Excellent project planning and management skills.

Excellent organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Self-motivated with minimum supervision required.
Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.
Previous work experience at the following companies desirable: Mullen, Extraprise, BeNow / Equifax, Merkle, Epsilon, Harte-Hanks, Quaero, Kalido, Prevision / Valassis, Unica, Veridiem, Digitas, Wheelhouse, Epiphany, SAS, SPSS, Clicktactics, Axciom, Choicepoint, iKnowtion, etc. Also, Big 5 / Big 4 or equivalent consulting / professional services experience (i.e., Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, BearingPoint, KPMG, IBM Consulting, Pricewaterhousecoopers, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, EDS, CSC, AMS-CGI, Sapient, Ciber, CTP, Nervewire, etc.).
