Market Research Project Director (Needham, MA)
Knowledge Networks is one of the 25 largest US market research companies, best known for pioneering high-quality online market research. KN serves a large, growing, blue-chip client base drawn primarily from the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, financial services, and media industries.
Ideal candidate is an experienced market researcher with strong analytical and client-facing skills who loves working with data and is passionate about developing research-driven insights for clients. Must pay great attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and priorities, take initiative, and work well both independently and in a group setting. The Project Director will assist in all aspects of project design, coordination; delivery, and quality control including preparing questionnaires; managing data collection and processing; insuring quality throughout the project cycle; and preparation of proposals and reports.
Responsibilities include:
• Day-to-day communication with clients, with input from team leader
• All aspects of project management including questionnaire development, working with internal operations departments to execute the project, and facilitating coding and data tabulation
• Management of project team members on multiple simultaneous projects
• Preparing effective analytical plans with input from senior and advanced analytical staff
• Drafting or assisting in preparation of reports
• Drafting or assisting in preparation of proposals
Education and Experience Requirements
• BA or BS (MS degree a plus) and at least 3 years relevant market research experience
• Individual must be well rounded in business knowledge and passionate about marketing and marketing research
• Experienced in project management, data analysis, and market research methodology
• Strong analytic skills and instincts, with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in SAS or SPSS
• Ability to supervise others on project related matters and to teach junior staff
• Ability to travel domestically as needed - travel requirements vary by client
