Position Description
In this role, as a Senior Database/Web Developer you will be charged with leading/working on multiple development projects with a highly visible stake in success benefiting SFP enterprise. In this role you will wear a variety of hats, including technical lead and technical project manager, designer, developer, tester, configuration manager, data analyst and modeler, customer advocate and liaison.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BS Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8 to 10 years experience as a software engineer.
- Superior SQL skills (SQL Server 2000/20005 and Oracle 10g and Teradata V2R6) with broadly demonstrable experience in each of: Data Manipulation Language (DML), Data Definition Language (DDL), Extract Transform and Load (ETL); Procedural management of transactions, optimization and administration; Data modeling (logical/physical).
- Web application development experience with ASP.NET and C#.
- Experience with a business intelligence framework such as Business Objects XI R2, including universe design and maintenance, Web Intelligence (WebI) report design, InfoView and CMC administration.
- Must be familiar with project management paradigms, such as the Rational Unified Process, and be able to produce the range of project artifacts or documents found in that paradigm.
- Prefer specific experience within the securities industry, or in the broader finance sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
