Business Intelligence Engineer - Shopzilla (Los Angeles)

As our Business Intelligence Engineer, you will:

• Provide planning and production implementation, with primary responsibility for Siebel Analytics development, deployment and support Complete high-quality deliverables in a timely manner as assigned with limited guidance • Actively participates and significantly contributes to team-based problem solving Provide recommendations for improvements and work with internal resources to implement these recommendations Troubleshoot existing reports to eliminate data discrepancies and respond to end-user inquires • Create automated data quality validation routines • Cross-train and mentor team members with limited Siebel knowledge

Your qualifications include:

• Minimum 3-5 years technical experience in Business Intelligence tools focused on data modeling, meta data, and user interface • Prefer 6 months of Siebel Analytics implementation experience with Siebel Analytics v7.8 on at least 1 full implementation • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Siebel Analytics tools and reports, analysis, design and development of Dashboards, metadata tools, Siebel Answers, and user interface designs • Preference for strong skills in Analytics Administration, Installation, Configuration - including configuring report level security, Deployment, and Performance tuning – including a good understanding of Siebel Analytics caching technique and performance tuning • Knowledge of Oracle, Sybase or other robust relational database • Strong business analytical skills and the ability to understand business needs for analytical reporting and the ability to translate business needs • Experience with Siebel Analytics application design, metadata modeling, star schema design and prototyping • Understanding of Siebel provided Analytics repository • Experience with industry leading best practices • Knowledge of Siebel Administration best practices

Additional (desired) skills:

• Experience with Agile software development a plus • Proficient in database design and modeling techniques
