Database Marketing Analyst - PC World Communications (San Francisco, CA)


PC World Communications is seeking a Database Marketing Analyst to act as the central point person for the company’s database marketing and business intelligence effort. The individual will drive the overall database marketing and lead generation strategy, to promote and cross-promote PC World’s information offerings. The Database Marketing Analyst will report to the Director of Online Marketing, and will also work closely with other marketing groups in order to develop and manage a central business intelligence database, standardize email and registration efforts, track promotional campaigns, grow the list, and mine & capture data to analyze audience usage. The ideal candidate will have a strong database marketing background with knowledge of database development background and a passion for analyzing and using data to create audience development opportunities across multiple product lines.

Candidates should bring a strong knowledge & 3-5 years of experience in direct marketing, specifically email, including spam laws, email deliverability, and campaign testing. This role will require a significant amount of cross department interaction so candidates should have exceptionally strong communication skills, the ability to understand the audience development needs of the various product lines and develop programs. Success will be measured on the ability to develop effective email and lead generation campaigns, and to develop a database that will track and optimize cross marketing efforts leading to increased sales in all lines of business.
