SAS Administrator (Minneapolis, MN)
Responsible for managing the relationship between the software development teams and infrastructure teams to ensure common technology direction. Responsible for ensuring the enterprise technical infrastructure are consistently aligned with enterprise-wide standards for new application development and improvements for future releases. Responsible for evaluating and implementing industry emerging technologies that may support the business.
The SAS System Administrator (SA) supports application development for the new SAS platform in the systems domain. The SA is responsible for the success of the system administration working with the business and infrastructure team to requirements definition. This role will, also be working with other IT areas to define system requirement definition, use case development, conceptual and logical modeling.
Experience: 2+ years of systems and/or business analysis or design experience in application support and development. 2+ years experience supporting and administering SAS system or other comparable administration.1+ years experience in corporate administration on and Unix server environment. 1+ years experience working in a multiple server environment and following change management policies and producers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office application development, customization, and database integration; Knowledge management and process automation, articulate them to executive management, and manage their successful development and implementation.
- Administration of SAS foundation.
- Experience installing SAS and applying patches.
- Serves as primary Technical Platform Support
- Serves as primary analyst on the scripts (rollout, clean up and refresh), manages script development, file processing, and the overall import process. Ensures scripts are thoroughly tested in all environments. Executes scripts. Facilitates/performs gap analysis of related (source to pay) systems/functions; e.g., Base SAS, Security and Privacy Risk Assessments and eCommerce. Coordinates with other system’s analyst if available.
- Manages environment integrity (DEVL, INTG, PROD)
- Develops technical documentation to initiate and support the new platform
- Monitors ongoing performance of existing hardware
- Facilitates application upgrades/releases; participates in vendor system implementations
- Develops Integration / System Testing documentation (test scripts, test plan, system acceptance, stress testing) and conducts testing.
- Oversees testing strategy for service updates, releases, patches, etc.
- Utilizes Test Director for documentation, testing and issue tracking. Serves as Test Director owner.
- Supports corporate IT on required system changes, e.g., server moves, database/schema changes, etc.
