We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Analyst to join our team of experts based in San Francisco, CA. In this position, the Marketing Analyst will work closely with the team of Strategy Consultants to shape and enhance client's marketing and messaging programs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ongoing campaign reporting (monitor monthly and quarterly program performance by program, campaign, and segment)
- Assist in the development of monthly reports and quarterly optimization audits (synthesize results, write reports, and craft presentations)
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop business recommendations from data. It is the analyst’s job to create the “what does this mean” insights for the client
- Maintain a repository of industry statistics and campaign samples
- Assist in the development of "best practice" training materials
- Support consultants in providing email marketing strategies and tactics
- Work closely with other team members in all initiatives, from both a thinking and administrative perspective
- Project oversight and management, ensuring that all deliverables are met
Experience:
The qualified candidate will have 2 to 3 years experience in online marketing, direct marketing and/or database marketing with proven analytics skills. Previous agency, consulting, and client services experience a plus. Also required:
- 4-year degree (Preferably in Marketing, Business Management, Economics or other related coursework)
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills (data mining, and modeling a plus)
- Passion for the online marketing space with a basic understanding of direct marketing principles and research techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills (excellent organization, and ability to juggle several simultaneous projects)
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong writing expertise and eye for presentation organization and aesthetics
- High personal quality expectations
- Superior computer skills (Highly proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, HTML)
- Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
- Potential to take on higher-level consulting role in the future
